Here are 10+ gift ideas for women and men for Valentines day if you are struggling to think of something!

Photo by Anna Pou on Pexels.com

These are so easy to do!

You can either print a photo from your phone in your local photo printing shop, e,g Snappy Snaps or your local large supermarket like Asda – lot of shops do it now so it’s not hard to find one – and then buy a nice frame, either from the same photo printing shops (as some do sell frames as well) or for a cheaper option, Poundland does some really nice frames for under £5!

Or you can use an online photo-printing website, for example, FunkyPigeon. Simply upload your picture, (or pictures if it is a collage you’ve made) and then choose a frame, which you can personalise! Then when your happy with it, head to the checkout, buy it and it can be delivered to your special someone within a few days.

If they are a picture person then they will love this, putting it somewhere, either at work of at home, where they can look at it and be reminded of you both and the happy memory of where or when you took the picture!

Journals can be a perfect gift for someone who loves to invest in themselves, keep them organised or just people who life stationary. Often self-love journals, or journals for other purposes can not just be a great gift but a useful one too!

If your lady loves to look good, loves beauty products, make up, etc., then why not get her a beauty box filled with make up bits!

There are a lot of sets that cater to different parts of the face. Some include most in the list below, but some include only parts, for example eyeshadow with brushes. So me mindful of what she wants/needs before buying. Some of the different beauty products for the face include:

  • Eye shadow Lots of differnt palettes of various shades

Most beauty stores like Superdrug and Boots have beauty sets and box sets filled with makeup brushes, eyeshadow pallets, lipstick, mascara, all in one! Perfect gift for women who love dressing up! If she’s not that into make up then nail varnishes in different shades are a good alternative! These you can also get in sets in the same places.

It doesn’t have to even be a spa weekend, it can be a spa night! Lots of places have a steam room, sauna and swimming people that you can go to now.

Or if that’s not a feasible option, then why not book a facial or massage for him or for her. There are lots of discounts going on Groupon where you can find trusted masseuses and clinics that do one off appointments.

Help your special person relax, get their kinks out their backs and soothe their body. Catering to your partners physical needs in terms of looking after their bodies, is one sure way to show them how much you love and care for them!

#6 – A romantic dinner or picnic

Depending on where it in the world you are, February can be quite a cold month to picnic, but if you can, then that is a wonderful idea!

Just the two of you out in nature, with food and drinks spending quality time together. Get their favourite foods and maybe take some music with speakers for some background noise while you eat and bond together in the sunshine!

Alternatively, you can prepare a special meal for your person. Either surprise them with a dish they’ve never tried before and see how they like it, or cook their favourite meal.

If you’re busy and it is last minute, then take-away can also work, but try and make it as romantic as possible by creating a beautiful aesthetic with candles, flowers and music.

Perfume is another present that makes for a lovely gift.

Try and get them a scent that you know they will love or one that you like the smell of as it is for you as much for them!

It doesn’t have to be expensive either, depending on the fragrance.

Both, The Perfume Shop and Superdrug do great deals on perfume and cologne and they often even have gift sets on sale which can also include other products from the same brands within the set e.g. hand-creams and lip balms.

#8 – Jewellery

If you know your person loves jewllery then a small piece of jewellery can be so romantic. Whether it’s a pair of earrings, a necklace or a braclet. It is something they can wear and have for a lifetime!

Knowing their style and the type of jewellery they like, be it gold or silver, is important! You don’t want to get them something they won’t wear.

Have a look at the type of jewellery they already wear and get something similar. Most people like a particular type of jewellery so it’s best not to get something completely out there!

#9 – Clothes/shoes/lingerie

Have they expressed an interest in a new top/skirt/trouser/jumper/coat/jacket they like the look off? If you know their size then why not get it for them!

Clothes make a good gift especially for fashion lovers! Getting them something they can wear day-to-day or even for a date night can be cute and a way of making them feel good. They might be so grateful that you have gotten them those shoes they’ve wanted for ages!

Or if you have been together for a while and you want to bring more romance back into your relationship then maybe getting some lingerie that you’re partner can wear to help them to feel more in-tune with their sexuality and feel more open to physical intimacy. It can be a great took to bring you both closer.

#10 – Bath & Body gift set

A lot of women love to do a self-care day where they just like to spend time in a lovely hot bubble bath, do a facial put on a face mask and paint their nails. So bath and body gift sets can be a perfect gift for those women!

Included in these bath sets are generally, but not all: some bath salts, shower gels, bubble bath, face masks, shampoo, body cream and oils.

These gift sets boxes can be commonly found in places like Superdrug, Boots and even Savers! Some of the top brands that do such box sets include, Radox and Dove (for bath and body) and Simple (for facial products).

#11 – Flowers, Chocolates & Wine

Sounds cliché and a bit traditional but some women still do love the old romantic flowers and chocolates – and maybe a cute little teddy bear!

Some women may not even want to make a big deal out of Valentines day, but just as a little something to show her you do love her and appreciate her (as that is what the day is meant to be about), then there’s nothing wrong with getting her some flowers and chocolates. At the very least, it shows that you are thinking of her in a loving way!

Maybe get her a bouquet of some red roses (or her favourite flowers in her favourite colour) and a box of chocolates that she loves, with a bottle of red wine or a bottle of Prosecco.

‘Prestige Flowers’ is a fantastic website online to purchase a gift box with these things included, if you want it sent to their doorstep without the fraffing around in the shops!

Red wine can be an aphrodisiac so if you are both looking for a romantic night then be sure to include that!

#12 – Tickets to a show/concert/cinema

Photo by Mark Angelo Sampan on Pexels.com

Are you or your partner or both outgoing people! Then booking tickets for your favourite concert/gig/performance might be perfect for Vday. Doesn’t have to be for that day but it gives you something to look forward to and gives you an opportunity to spend time together. It also takes some of the pressure off of the actual day of Vday which can be overwhelming for people who aren’t really into Vdy of who aren’t very romantic.

There is so much you can book, either online or get tickets for:

  • Cinema (a new film that you both want to watch)
  • Theatre show
  • Music concert,
  • Comedy show,
  • A dance performance,
  • A gig,
  • A talk show,
  • Open mic night, etc.
